# The [[Order of the Silver Dragon]] The **Order of the Silver Dragon** was an order of knights based at [[Argynvostholt]] who followed what [[Novgor]] described as a heretical form of the [[Morninglord (Temple)|local sun religion]]. The Order was led or protected by [[Fall of Argynvostholt|Argynvost]], an actual silver dragon. When [[Strahd von Zarovich|Strahd]] returned to Barovia and assumed the throne, he besieged [[Argynvostholt]]. Strahd defeated [[Fall of Argynvostholt|Argynvost]] and destroyed the Order's stronghold in a battle remembered for **silver fire and blood-red magic**. A small bell recovered from a revenant near [[Fall of Argynvostholt|Argynvostholt]] bears two Draconic inscriptions: - [[Order of the Silver Dragon]] - **Sound this when you are in need** The bell is said to be modeled after a much larger bell atop the chapel at [[Fall of Argynvostholt|Argynvostholt]]. ### Notable Members - **Argynvost** — silver dragon who defended [[Argynvostholt]]. - Unknown revenants — at least one revenant associated with the old fortress has been seen patrolling the roads near [[Argynvostholt]].
