Very little is currently known about the lake itself, but it has become important to the Gang because both [[Find Gertruda|Gertruda]] and [[Arrigal|Arabelle]] are believed to be somewhere in or near it. ### In [[013_20260821 Session 13|Session 13]], [[Madam Eva]]'s Tarokka reading revealed that: - Gertruda and Arabelle are both **alive and well**; - they are together; - they are near a **great body of water**, which Eva identified as [[Lake Zarovich]]; - and they are associated with a decrepit mortal man whose soul has been badly corrupted by what he has endured in Barovia and who is willing to sacrifice others to accomplish his goals. ### In [[014_20260904 Session 14|Session 14]], [[Arrigal]] revealed that fishermen around [[Lake Zarovich]] are rumored to **sacrifice people to water spirits**. He considers them one possible explanation for Arabelle's disappearance.
