It has several stories, including an attic, two floors, and at least two levels of understory. ### Gustav and Elizabeta Durst Highly influential, [[The Durst Family|Gustav and Elizabeta Durst]] are working hard to increase their wealth and power by increasing their network of [[Pro-Strahd Factions|Strahd allies]]. In [[007_20260711 Session 7|Session 7]], the children indicated that their parents were interested in working with [[Morganta, Dream Pastry Lady|Morganta]]. In [[008_20260717 Session 8|Session 8]], [[Andraste Amo|Andi]] and [[Zar]] learned that [[The Durst Family|the Dursts]] were seeking to resurrect their ancestors through a ritual of sacrifice, and that they had [[Body in the Attic|murdered their nursemaid]] for her interference. ### Rose and Thorne ![[Rose&Thorne.png|right|200]]The children of the Durst family, they seem very obedient to their parents, running small errands around town. According to the servant [[The Durst Family#Klaus|Klaus]], the children are very spoiled and allowed to do whatever they want. They seem to be well-versed in the occult, able to summon or at least direct zombies. ### Walter Durst The infant son of [[The Durst Family|Gustav and Elizabeta Durst]]. Shortly before the Gang arrived at [[Durst Manor]], his parents murdered him in an attempt to use his blood and one of the mysterious gemstones in a ritual to restore the Durst ancestors, [[The Durst Family#Claudia and Balthazar Durst|Balthazar and Claudia]]. The Gang interrupted the ritual before it could be completed, rescued [[The Durst Family#Walter Durst|Walter]] from the altar, and entrusted him to [[Father Dargos Donavich|Father Donavich]] at the [[Barovia (Village)#Church of St. Bogdan (E5)|Church of St Bogdan]]. ### Claudia and Balthazar Durst Ancestors of the Durst family. ### Household Staff #### Klaus A kitchen servant who appears unhappy with his creepy place of employment. #### Nynka The Dursts' nursemaid, [[The Durst Family#Nynka|Nynka]] was murdered by [[The Durst Family|Gustav and Elizabeta]] and [[Body in the Attic|hidden in the attic]] after discovering they had killed their infant son, [[The Durst Family#Walter Durst|Walter]], for use in a dark ritual. Her ghost initially haunted the attic where her body had been hidden, but later revealed the truth to [[Erno Van Iche|Erno]] and agreed to help the Gang stop the ritual by scouting the lower levels of [[Durst Manor]]. During the final confrontation, she fought alongside the party against her murderers and finally avenged both herself and [[The Durst Family#Walter Durst|Walter]].
