# [[Arrigal]] [[Arrigal]] is the chieftain of the [[Vistani]] encampment at [[Tser Pool]] and the father of [[Arrigal|Arabelle]], a young girl who went missing shortly before the Gang arrived in [[013_20260821 Session 13|Session 13]]. [[Arrigal]] is related to [[Madam Eva]], though the exact relationship has not yet been clearly established. Madam Eva and members of her family were allowed to remain at his camp because Arrigal wanted her help locating his missing daughter. Normally, Eva's branch of the family are not permitted to stay among the other [[Vistani]]. ### Arabelle's Disappearance By the time the Gang reached [[Tser Pool]], [[Arrigal]] had mobilized much of the camp to search for **Arabelle**, who was believed to have been kidnapped. - [[Arrigal|Arabelle]] is approximately **twelve years old**. - Armed search parties were leaving and returning from the camp in shifts. - Hunting dogs were being given items carrying [[Arrigal|Arabelle]]'s scent. - The camp had become unusually alert and heavily armed because of the search. - Madam Eva was attempting to locate [[Arrigal|Arabelle]] through divination. In the same session, Madam Eva's reading revealed that Arabelle was alive and in the same location as [[Find Gertruda|Gertruda]] somewhere near [[Lake Zarovich]]. ### Meeting the Gang [[Arrigal]] first spoke directly with the Gang after a carriage from [[Castle Ravenloft]] arrived to collect [[Zar]] and [[Erno Van Iche|Erno]]. He appeared wary of their connection to [[Strahd von Zarovich]] and asked what Strahd wanted with them. After learning that they had received an invitation to [[Castle Ravenloft]], [[Arrigal]] agreed not to interfere. One of Madam Eva's relatives vouched for the Gang, and Arrigal promised that their wagon and belongings would remain untouched while [[Zar]] and [[Erno Van Iche|Erno]] were away. He then questioned Andi and Irina—disguised as **Natalia**—about whether they could contribute to the search for Arabelle. Andi told him that they could **find his daughter**. Arrigal believed her, although he appeared to recognize that she knew more than she was revealing. He assigned Andi and Natalia to the next search party. ### Personality Arrigal appears: - authoritative and accustomed to being obeyed; - intensely focused on recovering his daughter; - suspicious of outsiders and reluctant to interfere in Strahd's affairs; - perceptive enough to recognize when someone is withholding information; - and somewhat more unsettling than members of Madam Eva's branch of the family.
