# Muriel ![[Muriel-1786714403955.webp|right|300]][[Muriel]] is a shapeshifting raven-woman and member of the [[Keepers of the Feather]]. The Gang first met her in Session 11 after realizing that a large raven had been following their wagon through the woods. She revealed that the Keepers had been watching the newcomers and were trying to determine what they were doing in [[Barovia (the Land of)|Barovia]]—and whose side they were on. In Session 11, the Gang learned: - Muriel can assume the forms of a raven, a humanoid raven, and a human woman. - She is a Keeper of the Feather and a servant of the Raven Queen. - She had been sent to follow the Gang because they possessed the gemstone recovered from Durst Manor and because her matriarch was interested in their activities. - Her group considers Strahd von Zarovich a common enemy. - She invited the Gang to meet the Keepers at the Blue Water Inn in Vallaki and ask for Danika Dorakova. Muriel offered the Gang **6,000 gp** for the gemstone. Unbeknownst to her, [[Andraste Amo|Andi]] and [[Zar]] gave her a magically created fake while keeping the real gem for their attempt to cure [[Doryan (Doru) Donavich|Doru]].
