A cultist in [[The Durst Family|the Dursts]]' ritual chamber believed the [[Stafania Martikova|Martikovs]] still possessed at least one of the remaining two gems. #### Location - [[Father Dargos Donavich|Father Donavich]] believes the stone is located in [[Khazan]]'s (mythical? real?) tower somewhere in the marshes near [[Stoya]]. - [[Nikolai Wachter]] claimed the tower is located near [[Lake Sarovich]]. ## Lore According to local legends, a [[Khazan#Philosopher's Stone|philosopher's stone]], capable of curing even vampirism, may exist in [[Barovia (the Land of)|Barovia]]. According to legend, it was crafted by the legendary mage [[Khazan]]. A book by [[Mordenkainen]] (stolen from [[Nikolai Wachter]] in [[007_20260711 Session 7|Session 7]]) mentions: - the stone does not denote an artefact but a process, made from three gemstones. - The nigredo gemstone (which is the gemstone described by [[Stafania Martikova]]) can be blown into the shape of a bottle as part of the process to creating the [[philosopher's stone]]. ![[Philosopher's Stone-1784905184131.webp]] ^470ccc In [[010_20260801 Session 10#^Rubedo|Session 10]] when [[Erno Van Iche|Erno]] pressed a cultist aggressively about the **Rubedo gemstone** the Gang had retrieved from [[The Durst Family|the Dursts]]' ritual chamber, he described it as more than a tool for making wine. It accelerated transformations and alchemical processes: fermenting, putrefying, healing, and driving substances toward what he called their ultimate form. This was also how the [[Stafania Martikova|Martikovs]] could grow grapes and produce wine despite Barovia's hostile soil.
