# Quest: [[Find Gertruda]] ## Status As of Session 13, Gertruda is **alive** and is no longer believed to be at [[The Mill]]. According to [[Madam Eva]]'s reading, she is somewhere near **Lake Zarovich** with **Arabelle**, the missing daughter of the Vistani chieftain [[Arrigal]]. ## Log ![[Find Gertruda-1784257099800.webp|right|200]]Gertruda is a 14-year-old girl who has been missing for several days. She left her home around the 4th of Dekavyr, 713, to purchase dream pastries. According to her mother, she was to return shortly. [[Mad Mary]] asked the Gang to recover her. Gertruda left behind a deformed doll, which was made by a local toymaker named [Blinski](Blinski). The fact that Gertruda always had this doll was confirmed by Thorne Drust and Bildrath in Session 7. In Session 6, the Gang saw that the door to Gertruda's room had been forced open from the inside, possibly indicating her exceptional (supernatural?) strength or desperation to escape. In Session 7, Thorne Drust revealed that Gertruda may have suffered the same fate as another young boy, Lucien, who was turned into Dream Pastries. In Session 13, Andi asked Madam Eva how to save the missing children. Eva's Tarokka reading revealed: - Gertruda is **alive and well**. - She is **not at the Mill**. - She is in the same place as **Arabelle**, Arrigal's missing daughter. - They are near a **great body of water**, identified as Lake Zarovich. - They are with a **decrepit mortal man** whose soul has been corrupted by the darkness he has endured in Barovia and who is willing to sacrifice others to accomplish his goals. ### Objective Find Gertruda and Arabelle near Lake Zarovich and bring them to safety.
