# [[001_20260429 Session 1|Session 1]] ## Session Summary > [!tldr] [[001_20260429 Session 1]] > The PCs met during a carnival and, each for their own reasons, hitched a ride with Madam Eva to Barovia. ^summary --- ## Log Each of the PCs had different reasons for being in [[Idyllglen]] for the [[Carnival of the Mists]]: | Erno | to "handle" two half-orcs named [[Yarak and Dabra]] on behalf of his boss, [[Marta Vell]] | | ---- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Zar | to reconvene with [[Jander Sunstar]] after being tasked with scouting around? and mapping Barovia | | Bram | to look for the [[Vistani]] and his mentor, [[Tobias Beckett]] | | Andi | to collect donations for the [[Kelemvor (Temple)\|church of Kelemvor]] | | | | ## During the carnival We met several NPCs: | [[Anikka and Cedric]] | conjoined Goblin twins who were running a bull-jumping stall and had several unusual creatures | | --------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | [[Madam Eva]] | in whose caravan [[Zar]] returned from [[Barovia (the Land of)]]. She gave each PC a tarokka card reading but seemed to know us, past, present, and future. | | [[Rictavio]] | a bard? with "foreign" taste in music and possibly a collector of exotic animals. | | [[Rictavio#Druscilla\|Druscilla]] | the fine, exquisitely dressed horse belonging to [[Rictavio]]. | | [[Rictavio#Piccolo\|Piccolo]] | the monkey.
