Having tidied Sister Olivenka's home and baking a new batch of granola, Erno headed to the [[Barovia (Village)#Burgomaester's house|Burgomaester's house]] to meet up with his pals. ### Scene 1: The Burgomaester's House ![[BV Kolyanovich House lvl 1.png]] ![[BV Kolyanovich House lvl 2.png]] When [[Erno Van Iche|Erno]] arrived, he found [[Zar]] and [[Andraste Amo|Andi]] speaking to [[Kolyan Kolyanovich]] as [[Ismark Kolyanovich|Ismark]] was putting up rudimentary birthday decorations. Kolyan immediately remarked that [[Find Alric at the Vistani encampment near Vallaki|Erno looked familiar]], which [[Erno Van Iche|Erno]] (outwardly) dismissed. Kolyan then explained more details about [[Attend Kolyan's meeting with Strahd's envoys|that afternoon's meeting with Strahd's envoys]] and the [[Strahd von Zarovich#Blood Sacrifices|blood sacrifices]] that prompt these meetings. The gang were to attend discreetly, rather than initiate an encounter. ![[006_20260626 Session 6-burgermaster.webp|right|250]] At the request of the ~~ars~~athlete [[Zar]], [[Kolyan Kolyanovich|Kolyan]] prepared a prestidigitatedly delicious lunch from the least decayed meat and produce [[Barovia (the Land of)|Barovia]] had to offer. #### Meeting Irina When Irina appeared during the gang's meeting with [[Kolyan Kolyanovich]], she wore rugged hunting gear--hardly the clothes one wears to hang out with girlfriends. She apparently had been camping the previous night, which is not safe to do in Barovia. As Andi was suddenly confronted by how poorly the party had thus far been tailored for this outdoorsy woman, and Zar sat enamored by [[Irina Kolyanovich|Irina]]'s magnetism, Erno noticed that [[Irina Kolyanovich|Irina]]'s charisma isn't merely a product of her noble upbringing. She appears to have some elven blood. As Kolyan cleaned up after lunch, Irina told the gang that she wished to explore the rest of [[Barovia (Village)|Barovia]]. She planned to act upon this wish as soon as she was of age--tomorrow, after her birthday. #### Party Planning Committee - The 25-yearish-old [[Nikolai Wachter|Wachter son]] will be there, and Erno could have an opportunity to steal the keys to [[Durst Manor]]. - The entire party would consist of contests and activities listed [[Help Ismark with Irina's party#After Session 6,|here]]. #### Snooping Scoops/Distracting the Grillmaster - **The Wolf**: With the pretense of using the restroom, [[Erno Van Iche|Erno]] began scoping the grounds. He was armed with 5-ply toilet paper and guidance when he happened to notice **a red-eyed wolf** outside, sniffing around the house, like it was sent to track something. When he asked [[Kolyan Kolyanovich|Kolyan]] about the wolf, the burgomaester didn't seem bothered, commenting that dangerous animals were always around. Suspicious of someone so positive and ostensibly kind, [[Erno Van Iche|Erno]] took notes of what his discoveries. ### Scene 2: Mad Mary On the way to [[Barovia (Village)#Ismark Plaza|Ismark Plaza]], the Gang came across [[Mad Mary|a crazed woman]] who was wailing outside her home, holding a doll. She asked the Gang to [[Find Gertruda|find her missing 14-year-old daughter]], last seen heading out to find [[Morganta, Dream Pastry Lady#Dream Pastries|dream pastries]]. After realizing that [[Mad Mary]] was not a reliable narrator (and desperately addicted to dream pastries), the Gang gave her some granola, claiming it was as good as a [[Dream Pastries|dream pastry]], and [[Andraste Amo|Andi]] put her to Sleep. The Gang had a crisis of conscience as they considered manacling [[Mad Mary]] to her home, but they settled for locking her up inside, at least while they [[Attend Kolyan's meeting with Strahd's envoys|attended to Kolyan's affairs]] in the plaza. ### Scene 3: Ismark Plaza ![[IsmarkPlaza.png]] The Gang headed over to the plaza, to witness [[Kolyan Kolyanovich|Kolyan]]'s meeting with Strahd's envoys. The air grew cold, the skies grew dark, and a few wraith-like creatures appeared. From their various hiding spots, the Gang saw the "gallows speaker" smile and tell Kolyan that they were releasing [[Barovia (Village)|the village of Barovia]] from their tribute, but that the following day, they would be collecting one final tribute from the village. From this, the Gang gathered that these envoys would be collecting [[Irina Kolyanovich|Irina]] the following day. To prevent her being taken, they offered to find her and either take her to [[Barovia (Village)#Church of St. Bogdan (E5)|the Church of St. Bogdan's]], or flee the town while [[Irina's Birthday Party]] takes place [[Help Ismark with Irina's party|as planned]], with a decoy.
